Distributing milk to children

Every can of milk is a new step towards saving the lives of Gaza's children.

In its ongoing commitment to alleviating the suffering of Gaza residents, the Leith Relief Team implemented a food distribution activity on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. This initiative targeted affected families and children in the highest-need areas as part of the Emergency Food Crisis Response Project.

The team distributed fortified biscuits and infant formula, delivering them directly to families in regions suffering from acute shortages of food and essential services, particularly in the northern and southern districts of the Strip.

Many parents expressed their deep gratitude to the Leith Team for this vital assistance during such a critical time, with many sharing emotionally moving feedback. The team emphasized that this initiative was a direct response to the escalating food insecurity in Gaza, exacerbated by continuous power outages, water scarcity, and restricted market access.

The team highlighted that many children are currently facing a high risk of malnutrition due to the absence of basic healthcare and nutritional support. Despite significant field challenges, the team has persisted in its efforts, calling for strengthened local and international support to ensure the continuity of aid.

The mission concluded with a message of solidarity and a call for donations, stressing that: “Every can of milk provided today could save a life tomorrow.” This activity is part of a broader campaign aimed at providing nutritional relief to Gaza’s most vulnerable groups, particularly children and women.
