Combatting Malnutrition: Leith Team Distributes Nutritional Supplements in Northern Gaza

In the midst of the raging war on the Gaza Strip, where life is suffocated under the weight of the blockade and crossing closures, the Leith Team launched a new humanitarian initiative on Monday, July 7, 2025. The mission involved distributing nutritional supplements to residents in the devastated areas of northern Gaza, seeking to alleviate the severity of the food crisis that intensifies day by day.

With the continued closure of crossings and restrictions on basic supplies, food is no longer accessible; even the simplest nutritional necessities have become a luxury. Consequently, this initiative serves as a serious effort to provide bodies with the sustenance needed to endure, especially as many families suffer from malnutrition and a deficiency in vitamins and minerals—particularly among children, the sick, and the elderly.

Despite the ongoing shelling and escalation, the team braved the danger and succeeded in delivering these supplements to those in need, embodying a profound determination to sustain life amidst the rubble. The team specifically targeted the most affected areas in Northern Gaza, where residents endure tragic conditions characterized by food scarcity, water shortages, and the collapse of the healthcare system.

This initiative, despite its simplicity, reflects the scale of grassroots solidarity and local efforts exerted in the near-total absence of international organizations. It stands as a testament to the spirit of giving that remains vibrant in the hearts of Gazans. Thus, the Leith Team continues its path, carrying the torch of hope and believing that one hand extended to support another is capable of changing reality—even in a time dominated by bombardment and hunger.
