Hot Meal Distribution Project

Providing Nutritious Meals to Vulnerable Families

For many families in Gaza, accessing a nutritious daily meal has become increasingly difficult due to displacement, limited cooking facilities, and the rising cost and shortage of essential food supplies.

The Hot Meal Distribution Project provides freshly prepared, nutritious meals to vulnerable families and displaced communities. Meals are prepared and distributed directly to beneficiaries, offering a reliable source of food while helping ease the daily burden faced by families in need.

Meals Provided

The project offers a variety of freshly prepared meals, including:

  • Rice served with chicken breast.
  • Rice served with meat.
  • Ouzi with minced meat, a traditional rice-based meal prepared and distributed as a complete hot meal.

Project Objectives

  • Provide nutritious and freshly prepared hot meals to vulnerable families.
  • Support displaced households with limited access to food and cooking facilities.
  • Help reduce the immediate impact of food insecurity.
  • Provide balanced meals using locally available ingredients.
  • Preserve the dignity of families by ensuring access to ready-to-eat meals.

Target Groups

  • Internally displaced families living in shelters and temporary settlements.
  • Households facing food insecurity or limited cooking facilities.
  • Children and families in vulnerable living conditions.
  • Older adults, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and people with disabilities.
  • Other vulnerable households identified through field assessments.

Expected Impact

The project helps vulnerable families access nutritious and freshly prepared meals while reducing the daily burden of securing food during times of hardship. Beyond providing a meal, each distribution offers families a moment of care, dignity, and relief amid the difficult realities of displacement in Gaza.
