Haram distribution campaign

Warm Winter Campaign in Gaza

Amidst the harsh conditions endured by the residents of Hamama Camp in northern Gaza, the Leith Relief Team launched a humanitarian campaign on January 8, 2025, to distribute heavy blankets to affected families. This initiative was a swift response to a severe cold wave that significantly exacerbated the suffering of the local population.

Due to the plummeting temperatures, families faced dire circumstances, especially those living in inadequately equipped shelters. Consequently, the team sought to provide immediate warmth by distributing blankets to ensure a measure of protection against the elements.

Following a thorough assessment of social conditions, the team selected 100 needy families, prioritizing the most vulnerable groups—specifically households with children and the elderly due to their extreme sensitivity to the bitter cold.

The distribution process was organized according to a pre-set plan, prioritizing recipients based on urgency and ensuring each family received their portion directly. This approach allowed the team to execute the distribution with both transparency and efficiency.

Despite field challenges, the team persevered with determination, aided by the cooperation of the community and seamless coordination between team members and volunteers. Furthermore, many residents expressed their profound gratitude, sending messages of thanks that highlighted the importance of this timely assistance, noting that the blankets provided genuine warmth, especially for their children.

In conclusion, the team reaffirmed its commitment to continuing its humanitarian efforts across the Gaza Strip. They emphasized that the support of the community and donors is what sustains their capacity to serve. Therefore, they called upon everyone to strengthen the spirit of solidarity, particularly during these cold and challenging times.
