Laith... Every can of milk is a new step towards saving the lives of Gaza's children
As part of its ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Gaza Strip’s residents, the Laith Relief Team carried out a new activity on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, within its Emergency Food Crisis Response Project. During this activity, the team distributed food supplies to a number of affected families and children in the most vulnerable areas.
The activity included the distribution of biscuits and milk for children, with the team delivering these supplies directly to the families in need. Volunteers focused on areas experiencing severe shortages of food and services, particularly in the northern and southern parts of the Gaza Strip.
The team was deeply touched by the positive feedback from the residents, with many expressing their profound gratitude to the Laith Relief Team for the aid that arrived at such a critical time.
The team explained that the initiative came in response to the food emergency in the sector, adding that power outages, water shortages, and difficulty accessing markets have all exacerbated the humanitarian situation.
In this context, the team warned that many children are at risk of malnutrition due to the lack of even basic healthcare and nutrition in displacement areas.
Despite the challenges on the ground, the team affirmed its commitment to continuing humanitarian work. It also called for increased local and international support to ensure the continued delivery of urgent aid.
The team concluded their message with a poignant humanitarian statement: “Every can of milk today could save a life tomorrow.”
This activity is part of a broader campaign the team is undertaking to provide food relief in Gaza. The campaign aims to alleviate the suffering of the most vulnerable groups, especially children and women.
