Water Supply Project (Water Distribution)

Delivering Safe Drinking Water to Families in Need

Access to safe drinking water remains one of the most urgent daily needs for vulnerable communities in Gaza. Damage to water infrastructure, limited access to resources, and ongoing displacement have made it increasingly difficult for many families to secure enough clean water for their daily needs.

The Water Supply Project (Water Distribution) provides safe drinking water to displaced families, shelters, and vulnerable communities through dedicated water trucking. Each water tanker delivers 5,000 liters of safe drinking water, helping communities meet their essential daily water needs.

Project Objectives

  • Provide safe drinking water to families and vulnerable communities.
  • Deliver clean water directly to displacement camps and areas facing water shortages.
  • Reduce the burden of water scarcity on displaced families.
  • Help protect public health by improving access to safe drinking water.
  • Ensure timely and reliable water distribution where it is most urgently needed.

Target Groups

  • Displaced families living in camps and temporary shelters.
  • Communities experiencing limited access to safe drinking water.
  • Children, women, older adults, and people with disabilities.
  • Other vulnerable households identified through field assessments.

Expected Impact

The project helps ensure that families facing water shortages have access to safe drinking water when they need it most. Through the distribution of 60,000 liter water tanker loads daily, the project reduces the daily burden of water scarcity, supports public health, and helps families maintain their dignity and basic needs amid ongoing displacement and hardship.
